Have you taken any drugs (or marijuana)? If yes, do you find that your syn experience is similar to drug-induced?
I remember losing my projected syn for more than 5 years when I was a teenager (I can recall some projected , tho), but I still had associated ; also smoking marijuana gave me projected syn experiences - sound transforming into shapes and , and reminded me of the "childhood feeling" (this is how I used to call syn before I learn about it). I find that my syn experience is similar to what I experienced when I smoked marijuana. |

When I was on Paxil after the death of a close family member my syn was very intensified. I really liked the effects from the drug, especially the intense dreams. I only took it for a couple of months to help me get through the toughest times.
As for street drugs, I never knew such a thing as synesthesia existed many years ago when I went through the drug experimenting phase so I never knew to compare it. It was so long ago that I can't remember if any of the effects were due to my syn and there's no way I'll ever take any illegal drug again. I cringe at the thought of what could have happened back then! |

I'm going to start taking some OCD/anxiety medicine soon so we will see what happens! I hope my syn intensifies but obviously that's not why i'm taking it. |

I would never take anything that could be dangerous just to effect syn. exp. It's a bad idea.
Anyone reading this who might be curious about trying drugs. Stop. DO NOT DO IT.
On a lighter note, I am on a migraine med. and it makes my syn. less noticable . It's called Depakote.
...But it make my head not hurt, so that's good |

Sure. Taking drugs just to affect your syn is a bad idea, no doubt. I can say it since I'm too sensitive to such substances. But this is not the point actually. What I mean is that there's a similarity between drug experience and syn experience. I prefer syn experience tho, there are no 'bad trips'. |

Yeah, just to clarify, talking about drugs (any drugs, prescription ones or otherwise) is okay on the Nexus as long as it meets three criteria: the discussion relates to syn, nobody is suggesting anybody else take any drugs, and the Nexus Rules are followed. So far so good here.
FWIW I've never noticed any effects on my own syn from drugs, not even the superstrong IV painkillers they gave me when I delivered my two kids....c'est la vie. |
